Kayla

Kayla (she/her) is an Oneida digital artist. She is also a mother and entrepreneur. Her art is inspired by all of the beauty mother earth has to offer. She is on a path to eradicate the negative stereotypes towards indigenous peoples by spreading love and expressing their true values through art. She has created illustrations for the “indigenous box” for the “ByUs” company, she has also worked with the CAMH hospital (the first indigenous directed hospital in Canada) and created many portraits for them. In Kayla’s spare time she enjoys beading, sewing, and connecting with the land. Through The Indigenous Foundation she hopes to spread awareness about many important issues in the indigenous community by contributing/creating meaningful art pieces on these topics.
