Lazaya Villeneuve (She/Her) is a part Plains Cree woman from Treaty 7 territory. She is 17 years old, currently in her senior year of high school. She hopes to go to university for Indigenous studies. As part of the columnist/podcast team, Lazaya will not only write, but also talk about issues within the Indigenous community. Lazaya hopes to break barriers that have been put up in place to further continue the ongoing genocide of Indigenous peoples. Lazaya loves scrolling through TikTok and Instagram, she loves going to The Rocky Mountains and spending time in nature, and lastly she loves listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s music.
