Neegahnii Madeline Chakasim is a Mushkegowuk Cree teenager from Moosonee, Ontario. Currently homeschooled and working towards earning a high school diploma, Neegahnii wants to go to university to become a criminologist or journalist, and hopes to publish a poetry book someday. Neegahnii’s interests include writing, reading, watching true crime documentaries and Marvel movies, and beading. Neegahnii hopes to disprove stereotypes, change discriminatory thoughts, and make a difference through writing with The Indigenous Foundation.
